The PetroQuip Rupture Disk Sub is a barrier device for while running in an underbalanced tubing string or setting hydrostatic tools. Once the tubing is in place, pressure is applied to the tubing to achieve the overbalanced condition, which ruptures the disk. The Rupture Disk Sub can also be removed mechanically with a wireline spear or dropping a bar from surface.
